anyone making movies in dublin

is there anyone making short (or long ) movies in dublin? need help from someone who has no experience but has time on their hands and would really like to get into movie making?

i'm just a simple film fan who has been thinking of getting into film making for some time but now find myself with the free time to do something about it. i have no experience in film making and really want to know how to get started without going to college full time. i have been thinking of buying a camera but am getting too many conflicting opinions from websites etc. spending time assisting on someone else's productions could help me ( and those i'm assisting) in learning the basics of filmmaking

finances arenyt bad its just a complete lack of knowledge thats the problem. can anybody recomennend any books on dv filmmaking for beginners. also whats a reasonably priced (less that 1000 pounds) dv camera thats easy to use and has dv in and out?
